The Breakfast Club Remake: Filming

The Breakfast Club Remake: Filming

Filming the remake of The Breakfast Club was difficult because, unlike the movie we didn't have a similar set and locations to use so we had to improvise.

In the movie we see the characters arrive in cars, and being filmed inside the car however, since we are teenagers and we cannot drive we had to use toy cars as a replacement. Also, we chose not to recreate the inside of a car, instead we used our classroom and shot it in open space.

We used props such as trophies, baseball jackets and glasses to help character identification. As a group we didn't face many problems whilst filming because, we were very organised and managed our time well.
However, since there were 3 of us and 5 characters including the parents we had to play 2 or more characters each.

I was The Criminal, The Basketcase & The Brain's Sibling.
Shannon was The Princess, The Brain's Mother & The Athlete's Mother.
Tarun was The Athlete, The Princess' Father & The Brain.

Overall, it was really fun to shoot a remake of The Breakfast Club as it is one of my favourite movies and I think we did a good job with the costumes and the acting.
