Submarine: Comparison
We were given a soundless clip of the 'Submarine (2010)' opening sequence.
Our task was to watch the clip and find sound that relates to what we see on the screen.
We used the website creative commons to find a copyright free sound and add it on to our sequence.
The title of the song we chose was 'A Sound' and it was by an unknown artist on sound cloud.
Looking at the original sequence and our own we find a lot of similarities in terms of the tone and the flow of the whole clip. I think the original clip is good however, we think that our Sound 1 clip is even better because, we found the perfect track for the sequence that went well with the transitions and the characters' expressions as well as scenery and shots.
However, the second sound was not as good because, it didn't go well with the shots but the tones were also very nice and calming.
Overall, I think this task was a success because, it showed us that we have some sort of an indication when it comes to choosing sound and that can help us with our film opening which we will be planning and filming in the future.
