Target Audience.

I think the clue is in the task really.

It is a teen film so our target audience are mostly teenagers, both genders.

We feel are film is versatile which means we can appeal to teenage girls as typically they do enjoy the theme of a high school and drama and teenage boys like the thrill and adventure.

However, we felt that targeting just teens wasn't enough and why not expand our audience.

We hope to appeal to the mind of adults who went to a basic high school and fantasied about going to a school like in the movies or even adults who went to a school with a popular girl they labelled as 'evil.'

The only difference is, it is unlikely anyone went to school with someone that was a teenage demon.
We also hope to appeal to fans of drama, horror and elements of comedy. A bit for everyone really.

By expanding our target audience, we are allowing ourselves to expand our ideas and not make our opening sequence exactly the same as every other teen movie.

Also, it doesn't single out a specific group of people. I think if you single out a group of people they are the only people that feel obligated to watch it and others are somewhat put off as they may not fit the target audience.
