When looking over our entire planning schedule, including locations and costumes, we came to the conclusion that our teen movie would be a low budget one.
This is because we chose a location that prevents us from having to travel far that wastes time and money, and also we are going to wear costumes of clothes that we already own, again saving time from going shopping to find these necessities and money.
We looked at various production companies such as 'Big Talk Productions', 'DNA Films' & 'Film4'.
It was difficult deciding which production companies worked best for us.
We were looking for a company that had experience with teen movies and the sub genres of horror and drama and also independent films.
Some were more focused on one more than the other, so the task became difficult.
As a result, a company that we are all familiar with and have watched many of their films is 'Film4'.
This particular production company is British and has produced many popular, low budget and independent films.
In addition, this was beneficial as we are filming something that is low budget and and independent film.
It has been involved in the production of 'The Inbetweeners Movie' and 'Attack The Block' which are both in the genre of teen movies.
In addition, they have their own channel which they tend to air their own films which means they would air ours which was beneficial rather than finding another company to distribute us.
