On Monday, I began editing our film opening on 'Final Cut Pro'. Having used this programme many times, I was familiar with the tools and I was efficient in editing. We already had our files on the video drive because after every filming session we put our footage into either "Actual Footage' or 'Bloopers' onto the video drive. This gave me an advantage of going straight into editing as we already had actual footage that we'd use in our film. I began off editing with Shannon waking out of bed and used match cuts to make some actions seem continuous and it worked really well, it took a few tries because at first the scene seemed to jump but as I progressed further I managed to make the cut seem really subtle. Then after editing one scene I showed my group, who seemed really please and gave me a few ideas on where I could change. After changing what I needed to I edited Kris waking up and walking to college and again used match cuts. Editing was really easy and fun because I had a lot of clips to choose from; all varied in shot types and angles. Furthermore, as I began editing Shannon's journey to college I suggested to my group that we had the opening credits on top of the walk to college because having them two just walk would seem a bit boring. They agreed with my idea and I saved our work so far onto the video drive. Hopefully, we finish editing our rough cut by this Thursday and get feedback on how we could improve it.
